A Casual Start
Welcome to The Casually Mollie Podcast! The best way to describe this podcast would be CNN: your comedy (& entertainment) news network. If you’re already a casual listener to the podcast, we love you. For those who are casually joining the party, here’s how this all happened:
Having a background in theatre & journalism from St. Louis University, Mollie graduated in 2013 & ran a theatre company for five years (GoodPeople Theatre Co.). She produced plays in Cincinnati (OH), Covington (KY), Chicago (IL), St. Louis (MO), & other cities in the Midwest. However, when Mollie began doing stand up comedy, she still kept her hand in producing theatre, but switched focus to performing in the St. Louis comedy circuit. Inspired by the talent she witnessed & the podcasts she would listen to daily, Mollie decided to go back to her journalism roots, but with a casual twist. Each interview included a ‘casual topic’ which she thought would help a listener get to know a guest better. From starting out on a phone in her loft, The Casually Mollie Podcast matured to recording out of the MidCoast Studios & has expanded to a network of comedians, musicians, & entertainment from St. Louis, as well as around the country.
